Chris Cole’s novels, Ancient Wonders: The Sword’s Secret and Avoiding Aiden, have garnered significant literary recognition.
Ancient Wonders: The Sword’s Secret has been shortlisted for the monthly and annual BREW Readers’ Choice Award for 2025-2026. It also earned the Book of the Week Award from Books for Humanity Global. The Chrysalis BREW Project described the book as one that “excavates the essence of adventure and identity while adding a prism of inclusivity to reflect the complexities of modern readers.”
Avoiding Aiden received the BREW Readers’ Choice Award for LGBTQ Fiction in 2022. The book explores personal growth and relationships within the LGBTQ community.
